Fathers and sons (grades 6-8) will learn about the sacredness of human life and the wonder of growing up and becoming a man.
A male doctor, a father, a single man (religious brother), a nurse, and an older teen will present, focusing on:
the physical and emotional changes in a young man's body as he prepares for adulthood/fatherhood;
what it means to be a man;
and dignity, values, and faith in God.
This program is designed to encourage discussion between parent and child and to establish a foundation for continued communication. It emphasizes respect, understanding, and appreciation for God's gifts.
Please note: If the father is unable to attend, a grandfather, uncle, or trusted male friend may take his place.
Attendance is $25 per father/son, plus $5 for each additional son. Pizza and light snacks will be included.
In order to serve parents in their roles to instruct their children and understand human sexuality, Holy Family is working with the Archdiocesan Office for Marriage, Family and Life to present the tier 1 level of this program.
