First Five Saturdays Marian Devotion:
After the initial apparitions at Fatima in 1917, Our Lady further requested of Sr. Lucia that the faithful gather in this way as a form of reparation. She also made a beautiful promise to assist the dying with special graces if they have honored her in this way for at least five consecutive months.
This promise was accompanied by the conditions of sacramental confessions, the reception of Holy Communion, the praying of five decades of the rosary and 15 minutes of meditation.
