Deacon Andrew Zipp, a newly-ordained transitional deacon at the Saint Paul Seminary, has been assigned to Holy Family for the summer. He will serve here until mid-August.
God-willing, he will be ordained a priest for our archdiocese in May 2019.
Please pray for him and help welcome him to our parish!
A note from Deacon Andrew:
"I grew up in Saint Michael, MN, where I attended the parish school until 6th grade. I am the oldest of seven kids and my youngest brother is six. I went into the public school for middle school and started to get involved in with the youth group in my home parish then. I received a great Catholic education, and the faithful example from my parents really helped me to respond with generosity when I first felt God calling me to be a priest after my freshman year of high school.
In high school I was involved in Boy Scouts and I am an Eagle Scout. The skills I learned through scouting have served me well, from camping, to sewing, to leadership. Though I didn’t do any sports in high school I am an avid Twins fan.
I have been blessed to study in Rome through the Catholic Studies program at St. Thomas. My time in Rome was incredible and I made some great friendships during my time abroad.
I am really looking forward to serving at Holy Family this summer and getting to know many of you.
